When Superstorm Susan devastates the rural town of Hatford, New York, twelve-year-old Rose Howard's beloved dog Rain goes missing. Rose, who is neurodivergent and raised by a volatile single father with a painful past, is forced to abandon the rules and routine of her daily life to find Rain. With the help of her steadfast uncle, she is ultimately confronted with the most difficult decision of her lifetime.
Adapted from the award-winning novel by Carolyn Coman, What Jamie Saw is an intimate and raw portrait of a young mother who flees her abusive partner and retreats with her children to a trailer in the Vermont woods in the dead of winter. In the cold and the quiet, they find solace and strength in each other and discover that combatting fear sometimes requires a little magic.
Taipei, Taiwan, 1985. Before cell phones. Before the internet. A misfit crew of expat teens — May, Erin, Jim, and Luca — come of age in the freewheeling bubble of Taipei International School, where the local rules don't apply. Through family crisis, underage drinking, late-night lip-sync battles, and the wild freedoms of a city operating between East and West, they find that "home" is the deep and unlikely connections they forge with each other.
Until one of them is murdered — and those connections begin to unravel, forcing them to see their world and each other through a very different lens. Inspired by true events.
The summer after senior year. Best friends Blake and Arden are making the most of their last months together — until a former classmate vanishes. As more outcast teens disappear from Peters Lake, Michigan without a trace, Blake and Arden dig deeper while their small town looks away.
What begins as a missing-persons mystery unravels into something far darker: a cult-like coven promising utopia for society's outcasts, a supernatural plague spreading through the town, and a growing rift between the two friends as Arden is drawn toward the coven's promises.
